A Sasquatch or Bigfoot was sighted at the Rustic Canyon Golf Course. Some kids had been playing with their FRS radios and lost one. Sasquatch found it and was listening to two rangers talk. The male ranger had found a footprint. He had been hoping to see a Sasquatch for years. The female ranger was making fun of him and you with comments like “That is one big hairy beast,” “Are you in love with Bigfoot,” and “Are you into furries?” She does not believe that Sasquatch are real and was being very derogatory. When the Sasquatch saw the male ranger, he tossed the radio back to him. Humans can be so silly. Frank Browning is a golfer who sneaks onto the course when it is closed. He is a terrible golfer and leaves his balls all over. Roger, Victor, and Clarence try to catch him but are unsuccessful, so Roger has to pick up and clean Frank’s balls. They use a lot of radio lingo-type conversation like “You have clearance, Clarence,” and “What is your vector, Victor?” This conversation is overheard by a bridge club that doesn’t understand why Roger has to clean Frank’s balls. Overlapping conversations can cause considerable confusion, and simplex radios have limited range. MRA has a solution for this, which is said to work by FM, which stands for F*ckin’ Magic. The real explanation sounds like something from The Twilight Zone. The reality is that the radio network can cover a very wide area while keeping conversations separate. That way, Bigfoot does not overhear them.
