The Kenwood series of NX-1200DV & NX-1300DU portable radio products are Kenwood’s newest and most cost effective entry into the digital radio arena.  These radios have features including built in QT / DQT in analog mode which is used to listen to your group of radios without having to listen to other companies sharing the same channel.  The radios are capable of analog simplex, analog repeater, NXDN simplex, NXDN repeater, NXDN IP site connect, DMR simplex and DMR repeater operation which is used for facilities such as golf courses, hotels, movie theaters, furniture stores, bowling alleys, gun ranges, go kart racing, wholesale warehouse operations, schools or construction sites.  These radios operate on licensed frequencies and require the user to obtain an FCC license for legal operation.

THIS RADIO IS ANALOG AND DMR ONLY UNLESS THE OPTIONAL DIGITAL UPGRADE IS ORDERED.
The NX-1200DV VHF & NX-1300DU UHF radios operate in the DMR digital mode.  Both of the digital modes can be programmed into the radio at a given time along with analog FM.  This provides for versatile operation of the radio and an easy migration path for a user to start purchasing digital radios while continuing to operate analog until the majority of the fleet radios are compatible with digital operation.  At that point, the balance of the radios can be decommissioned and additional radios can be purchased to be fully operational with digital DMR.

This radio has a wealth of robust features including the following modes of operation: analog NX-3000 Triangle of Features NXDN DMR FM Analogsimplex, analog conventional repeater, DMR simplex and DMR repeater.  Radio features include mixed digital & analog FM operation, renowned KENWOOD audio quality, audio equalizer, noise suppressor, VOX, emergency function, lone worker, 16 bit encryption,  5W VHF, 5W UHF 16 channels per zone, 4 zones, 64 channels per radio, 1W speaker audio, 2 programmable side keys, call queuing, late entry, flash firmware upgrades, 6.25 & 12.5KHz channels, over the air alias (TX), voice announcement, status memory, paging call, emergency call, all group call, status messaging, remote stun, remote kill, remote check, ESN, intrinsically safe option, scrambler, FleetSync, MDC-1200, QT, DQT, 2-tone, companded audio and built in inversion scrambler.

The radio can work Kenwood NXDN digital in both 12.5KHz and 6.25KHz modes with the installation of the optional extra cost feature.
