The NX-740V & NX-840U series mobile radio is Kenwood’s economical digital trunking radio which has most features available in digital radios.  This radio has a wealth of robust features.  The radio is capable of the following modes of operation: analog simplex, analog conventional repeater, digital simplex, digital conventional repeater and digital type-D trunking.  Radio features include mixed digital & analog FM operation, renowned KENWOOD audio quality, 50W VHF, 45W UHF, 32 channels, 2 zones, 16 channels per zone, 4W speaker audio, 6.25 & 12.5KHz channels, over the air alias (TX only), paging call, individual call, conference call, status messaging, remote monitor, site roaming, late entry, zone / channel number voice announcement, VOX, emergency call, remote stun, remote kill, ESN, lone worker, TOT, password protection, PTT release tone, minimum volume, microphone sense adjustment, 15 pin d-sub accessory connector, ignition sense, horn alert, 64 RAN codes, individual and conference group calling, FleetSync II, MDC-1200, DTMF, QT, DQT, 2 tone, companded audio, lone worker alert, TOT, busy channel lockout, horn alert, cloning and squelch level adjustment.  Accessories included are KMC-35 mobile microphone, DC power cable, fuse, mounting screws, microphone hanger, mounting bracket.
