 The NXR-5900 & NXR-5901 series repeaters are Kenwood’s high tier digital repeater / base station radio which has all the features you need in an analog or digital radio.  This radio has a wealth of robust features including a frequency range of 806-870MHz & 896-941MHz, 30 channels per radio.  The radio is capable of the following modes of operation: analog simplex, two frequency duplex, analog conventional repeater, analog LTR trunking (with external controller), NXDN digital simplex, digital two frequency duplex, NXDN digital IP site connect, NXDN digital trunking, NXDN digital networking.  The basic repeater has 360mW output to drive an external power amplifier to operate at 40W or 110W or 250W VHF, 40W or 100W or 250W UHF.  The repeater receiver has a built in local speaker with 0.3W output or 3W with an external speaker for ease of servicing, receiver volume control, LED status indicators, 6 programmable function keys, microphone jack for local transmitting, USB 2.0 Type-B interface for programming, remote termination interface, programmable multiple AUX I/Os, DTMF AUX outputs, DTMF output control, DTMF front panel programmable function key control, flash firmware upgrades, NXDN digital air interface, AMBE+2 VOCODER, 6.25KHz and 12.5KHz channels.  Analog FM air interface with 12.5KHz and 25KHz channels.  Conventional mode includes UID & GID validation, NXR over-the-air alias, OCXO option, 32 RAN codes, 1000 GIDs per site, 1000 UIDs per site, mixed FM/digital operation, NXDN scrambler built in and conventional IP networks.  Digital trunking option includes 3000GIDs per site, 3000 UIDs per site, transmission trunked mode, message trunked mode, call queuing with priority, call queuing pre-emption, late entry, NXDN scrambled audio support, cross busy, fail soft mode, NXDN & LTR channel sharing, 2mb call activity memory, compact flash memory expansion.  Multi-site IP networking option includes 48 site trunked IP network, 65,519 GIDs per network, 65,519 UIDs per network, NEXEDGE trunked features, Ethernet network interface, IP LAN/WAN connectivity, ESN validation, Wide are all group call, group registration, auto roaming/registration, uses off-the-shelf 10 base-T / 100 base-T ethernet switching and routers.  FM modes include 16 QT/DQT repeater control including hand timer, time out timer, CW ID, external FM controller interface, EIA voter tone generation, encryption / ANI board control.
