 The TKR-740 & TKR-840 series repeaters are Kenwood’s high tier analog repeater / base station radio which has all the features you need in an analog radio.  This radio has a wealth of robust features including a frequency range of 136-150MHz or 146-162MHz or 158-174MHz VHF & 450-480MHz or 480-512MHz or 400-430MHz UHF, 32 channels per radio.  The radio is capable of the following modes of operation: analog simplex, two frequency duplex, analog conventional repeater, analog LTR trunking with external controller.  The basic repeater has 5 watt output adjustable down to 0.1 watt to drive an external power amplifier to operate at 40W or 110W or 250W VHF, 40W or 100W or 250W UHF.  The repeater receiver has a built in local speaker with 4W output, receiver volume control, LED status indicators, 6 programmable function keys, microphone jack for local transmitting, RJ-45 serial interface for programming, flash firmware upgrades.  Analog FM air interface with 12.5KHz and 25KHz channels.  FM modes include 16 QT/DQT repeater control including hang timer, time out timer, CW ID, external FM controller interface.
